The Nazareth Home for God's Children

Currently, Sister Stan cares for 78 children at the Nazareth Home for God’s Children, who range from just a few weeks to 18 years old. In addition to providing a safe home, nutritious food, healthcare, and love to these children, they are given access to education.

Some of the children at the home travel to nearby Tamale, where they attend school, however other children at the home have different learning needs and cannot enter the mainstream school system.

Sister Stan knows that education is very important for all children, and therefore has commissioned a vocational training centre. This centre will provide children that otherwise would have no education options, to be trained in a professional skill that will allow them to earn an income.

Skills such as carpentry, hairdressing, basket weaving, cooking and catering, and bead and accessory making will all be taught at the centre. These training courses will be open not only to the children and young adults at the Nazareth Home, but also to the wider community, which will allow many young people to gain skills and become successful, independent people.

How you can help

Fundraising is an excellent way for students to reach out in support of their Ghanaian brothers and sisters, helping them access a safe home, education, health and love.
