World Mission Sunday is on 20th October 2019. It helps people think about how to build a better world for all of God's people.

This year, Pope Francis asks each of us to think about ‘What’s My Mission?’

What’s My Mission? Let the world guide you!

Can you see the 8 large and many small words on the map of the world?

You will see that the 8 large words ‘show’ their meaning.

  • Name these words.
  • Pick one word and find its meaning.
  • What do these words tell you about how God wants you to live?

In Pope Francis’ special message for World Mission Day, he says

‘I am a mission, always; you are a mission, always…. As far as God’s love is concerned, no one is useless or insignificant.’

  1. Using the #MyMission is template, write down what your mission is.
  2. Get your teacher, parent or guardian to take a picture and send it to Catholic Mission digital@catholicmission.org.au and we may feature you on our Mission Wall.

Catholic Mission is the international mission agency of the Catholic Church in Australia.

Locally and globally, we answer the call to love God, our neighbour, and build communities of missionary disciples.

Catholic Mission operates in over 160 countries including Australia.

Founded in 1822 by a young woman named Pauline Jaricot, today Catholic Mission is the Pope's own mission organisation.
